Logo Contest


We Have A Winner!

Pictured below is Alexis Dauck of Putnam County High School, and her CAD instructor Mr. Shawn Schwingle. Alexis is the winner of the contest to design an official logo for the LaSalle-Peru Area Career Center. Alexis' design incorporates nine stars to represent the nine schools of the ACC and the side Laurels that come to form a full circle (with the stars), are representative of how the nine schools come together as one. Alexis was awarded a check for $100, a sweatshirt with her logo on it, and a medallion for the excellent effort.

ACC Hosts 8th Grade Tour Date

ACC Fire Science students explain their equipment and what they use it for to eight grade students from Putnam County, Lamoille, Henry, and Dimmick.

Visiting 8th grade students work with electrical connecting components in the Residential Wiring Program.

Instructor Harold Burr helps a student correctly operate the drill press. Students toured the Building Trades classroom and were instructed in how to operate various power tools to complete multiple hands on activities.

Instructor Matt Lee explains and demonstrates the finished product of the metal lathes that are used in the Metal Fabrication curriculum.

8th Grade students visiting Mr. Joe Villareal's welding class done their appropriate work gear to participate in the welding demonstration.

Visiting 8th grade students get a demonstration and tour of the Fire Truck used in the Fire Science class.
